Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Oregon, 2010-Present

Hi! I’m Phoenix

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and have been practicing mental health in Portland Oregon for 15+ years. I bring lived experience with identity, disability, and parenting into my work, and strive to create family and community space that celebrates people for who they are. I understand how life struggles can impact one's health and mental health, and how meaningful it is to be seen when seeking support.

I started my social work career supporting kids and families affected by HIV/AIDS, and later worked in community mental health roles as a consultant and child and family therapist. I now focus exclusively on adult therapy for queer and trans folks. I am disability and racial justice oriented, and believe increased liberation from systems of oppression is essential for healing.

In between sessions I can be found tending to native plants in my garden, talking with resident hummingbirds, getting distracted with my thoughts, communing with the household pets, and zoning out to my latest music hyper-fixation. I am a fierce advocate for the queer and neurodivergent beings in my life, I enjoy a good four letter word, I eat lots of tacos, and I am passionate about comfort by whatever means necessary.

Body positive? Yes! Regular tarot sessions? Um, of course! Resting and nesting? Yes please! Indoor plant parenting? Daily!
